DESIGN PHYLOSOPHY

What we design?
We design elegant and practical boats for the sea, not just glamour toys for marina.

We are not kind of 'designers' who draw ultra sleek profile to admire the public, and then 'someone else' has to think how to provide access and safety at bow deck, if it is enough headroom and engine space, how to build it strong and stiff, how to run piping and cables. We combine art flavor with sound knowledge of engineering principles, experience of boat construction and years of seagoing practice. We design boats in different styles - classic and modern, practical and military.

The meaning of design
For us, design is an art to develop things that work, not just making pretty but useless makeover. Any successful design of boat is a reasonable compromise between:

" Appearance
" Safety
" Performance
" Comfort
" Cost

Success of design is measured by merit of compromise reached in satisfying these - sometimes controversial - qualities. Thus design is not just a picture, it is a complex solution of aesthetical and technical task. In our practice, design is a complete set of plans, calculations and specifications ready for manufacturing.

The record
We design 20…30 boats per year, average every month one new boat model or custom boat from our drawing board is launched. This statistics does not include production boats.

Our services
With our spectrum of designers and engineers, we produce complete design in-house and prefer to provide comprehensive design service to customer. This enables to reduce complications and finally to decrease timing and costs. Scope of our design services includes:

" Exterior styling and naval architecture
" Interior design
" Structural engineering and cutting files
" Systems engineering and equipment lists
" Sea trials and technical consultancy

We are available for construction supervision both on site or remote. Supervision by designer is great aid to keep project successful and feasible, especially terms of weight control.
With our knowledge of the industry and without effect of brainwash by boating press, we provide solutions that fit the purpose and construction facilities. We are well aware of high-tech solutions, as well as of problems of using these technologies in developing countries.

Sorry, but we do not provide designs for existing molds or hulls, we do not involve in refit (excerpt for boats/molds/hulls previously designed by us). With very rare exceptions, we do not provide engineering services for other stylists and designers.
We develop all our designs to ISO Small Craft standards, or to other appropriate standards or rules of classification societies.
